The standard VP9 with a grey frame and black serrated slide. 4.09 inch barrel, 17+1, two magazines.
The VP series was HK's first striker-fired pistol since the P7 in the 1980s, and it pairs that striker system with HK's light pull trigger. The barrel is cold hammer forged from cannon grade steel with a polygonal bore profile, which extends service life and gives a slight increase in muzzle velocity.
Grip adjustment is the platform's defining feature. Three changeable backstraps and six side panels cover the range of hand sizes, and molded finger grooves position the hand consistently on the draw.
An extended Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail is molded into the polymer frame for lights and accessories.
Controls are fully ambidextrous. HK's patented charging supports mount at the rear of the slide on both sides and give real leverage for racking, which matters with gloves, wet hands, or reduced hand strength.
The machined steel slide carries HK's hostile environment finish for corrosion and wear protection. Metal components throughout, including springs and pins, use upgraded metallurgy.
