SMS Privacy Notice (Botach.com)
This SMS Privacy Notice explains how Botach.com collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our 1-to-1 support SMS program (service/support only; no marketing). It complements our main site Privacy Policy and addresses transparent disclosure, consent, and opt-out for 10DLC messaging.
1) What We Collect
- Identifiers & Contact Info: mobile number, name (if provided), account/order IDs.
- Message Metadata & Content: timestamps, delivery status, agent ID, and message content necessary to support your request.
- Technical Data: IP address and user agent at time of consent and during key support actions.
- Consent Records: consent method (checkout checkbox, account checkbox, or YES reply), timestamps, and source.
We collect this information from you (forms/replies), from your device (technical data), and from service providers (e.g., Microsoft/Teams SMS, operators/aggregators, and carriers) to ensure lawful, compliant messaging.
2) How We Use Your Information
- To provide one-to-one support via SMS (order questions, returns/RMA, delivery issues, product assistance).
- To verify and log consent, manage opt-out/START/HELP requests, and maintain suppression lists.
- To comply with 10DLC and carrier requirements and to prevent spam/abuse.
- To maintain and improve service quality (quality assurance, troubleshooting, operational analytics—not for advertising).
3) Legal Basis / Permission
We process SMS communications based on your consent (opt-in checkbox or YES reply). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP. We also process certain data as necessary to comply with carrier/operator requirements and to operate the service.
4) Sharing & Disclosure
We share SMS data only as needed to operate the program and comply with requirements:
- Service Providers & Platforms: Microsoft (Teams), operator/aggregator, and wireless carriers (A2P/10DLC).
- Fraud/Abuse Prevention & Compliance: entities assisting with compliance auditing or legal obligations.
- Legal Requirements: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
The Operator is the final reviewer/approver of the service application, and Microsoft may share application details to provision Teams messaging.
5) Retention
- Active conversations: retained for as long as needed to provide support.
- Consent logs & opt-out/suppression records: retained to demonstrate compliance with messaging rules.
- Deletion: we delete or anonymize data when no longer necessary for the purposes above, subject to legal retention requirements.
6) Your Choices & Rights
- Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to end SMS. Reply START to resume. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.
- Access/Deletion: You may request access to or deletion of SMS data we hold, subject to identity verification and legitimate retention needs (e.g., suppression lists).

7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect SMS data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use caution when sharing sensitive information via SMS.
8) Children’s Privacy
Our SMS program is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn a child under 13 participates, we will delete associated SMS data.
9) Links & Short URLs
Links in SMS messages point only to botach.com. We do not use public link shorteners in this program.
10) Program Scope & Changes
This notice applies only to the Botach 1-to-1 Support SMS program. We may update this notice; material changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date.
