The Mk23 has been through rigorous testing for stringent operation and accuracy with endurance testing of upwards of 30,000 rounds of +P ammunition. The addition of the threaded barrel with O-ring and polygonal rifling offers accuracy while allowing for suppressed use.

The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 (MK23) is a purpose-built .45 ACP pistol originally developed for the U.S. Special Operations Command Offensive Handgun Weapon System program. Designed to meet demanding military requirements, the MK23 represents one of the most extensively tested service pistols ever produced, combining exceptional accuracy, durability, and reliability in a large-frame combat handgun.

The MK23 features a 5.87-inch threaded barrel with O-ring retention system and polygonal bore profile, providing match-grade accuracy and compatibility with suppressor systems. Its precision-engineered design includes a match-grade trigger, one-piece machined steel slide, and HK’s patented recoil reduction system to help manage recoil during extended firing.

Built for harsh operating environments, the Mark 23 incorporates a corrosion-resistant blued finish, fiber-reinforced polymer frame, and robust internal components designed for long service life. The pistol features a frame-mounted decocking lever, separate ambidextrous safety lever, and can be carried in single-action “cocked and locked” configuration.

Additional features include an oversized trigger guard for gloved operation, universal accessory mounting grooves, ambidextrous magazine release, extended slide release, and an extractor that doubles as a loaded chamber indicator. The integrated Lock-Out Safety device provides an additional level of security when required.

This configuration includes two 12-round magazines and delivers the same engineering standards and battlefield pedigree that made the HK Mark 23 a benchmark for military-grade handgun performance.
