Overview
The Combined Systems (CTS) Model 2588 Super-Sock® (Super Sock) is a 12-gauge less-lethal bean bag round made to LAPD specifications. The projectile is a shot-filled ballistic fiber sock that is fully deployed as it leaves the barrel, so it doesn’t need a minimum distance to unfold or stabilize.
The projectile also carries neon green marking powder, which marks the point of impact on the subject. Effective range is 75 feet (25 m). Accuracy depends on the shotgun, barrel length, environmental conditions, and the operator. CTS backs the round with a 5-year warranty from the date of shipment.
