1. Barrel Extension Engagement Lugs
These lugs at the front of the rod are precisely machined to fit into the barrel extension of an AR-15 upper receiver. They ensure a secure lock-up, allowing torque to be applied directly through the barrel extension without stressing the upper receiver.

2. Anti-Rotation Guide (Charging Handle Slot Engagement)
This fin-like structure aligns with the charging handle slot inside the upper receiver. It prevents the upper from rotating during maintenance, distributing torque forces evenly and safeguarding components like the index pin.

3. Square Vise Mounting Section
The rear portion of the rod features a square shape designed to be clamped securely in a bench vise. This allows for stable horizontal or vertical positioning during assembly or disassembly tasks.
