The VP9SK subcompact configured with a push-button magazine release in place of HK's standard paddle-style lever. A 3.39 inch barrel, black finish, shipping with one 13-round and one 10-round magazine.

The push-button release is the reason to choose this version. HK's traditional paddle release sits at the base of the trigger guard and is operated with the trigger finger or middle finger. The push button sits behind the trigger guard and is operated with the thumb, which is the control layout most American shooters have trained on. For anyone transitioning to HK from another platform, or running a mixed armory, it removes the retraining requirement.

The barrel is polygonal rifled. The frame is polymer with a Picatinny rail, and the grip takes interchangeable backstraps.
