The HK VP9A1 K Tactical is the suppressor-ready configuration of HK's striker-fired 9mm, shipping with a threaded barrel and suppressor-height sights and no optic installed, leaving the red dot choice to the end user.

The 4.7 inch hammer-forged barrel is threaded at the muzzle for a suppressor or compensator. The added length over a standard VP9 also lengthens the sight radius and yields a modest velocity gain.

The sight package is the reason this configuration works as a suppressor host. Suppressor-height irons deliver a 1/3 co-witness through the window of a mounted red dot, placing the backup sights in the lower third of the glass rather than obscuring the dot. The same sights sit high enough to remain visible over the top of most suppressors, where standard-height sights disappear entirely.

The slide carries an optics cut that accepts most popular red dot sights when paired with one of nine available HK adapter plates. Add the appropriate plate and optic, thread on a suppressor, and the pistol runs with no further modification.

The black polymer frame includes an integrated Picatinny rail for a weapon light or laser. Controls are fully ambidextrous. Ships with two 15-round magazines.
