The pistol configuration of the HK-authorized rimfire MP5, built under license by Umarex of Germany. An 8.5 inch threaded barrel, .22 LR, 25+1, 5.9 pounds, 18.2 inches overall with no stock.

The barrel is threaded 1/2x28, the standard rimfire pattern, so most .22 suppressors thread straight on with no adapter. Between that and the short barrel, this is the configuration to buy if suppressed shooting is the point.

Built to the MP5 pattern and blowback operated. The controls, silhouette, charging handle, and manual of arms carry over from the centerfire guns, including the HK slap. Rimfire cost per round makes it a working sub-caliber trainer for anyone running an MP5 or SP5, with transitions, reloads, and safety manipulation identical to the duty gun.

Sights are a diopter drum rear with a front post, the same arrangement as the centerfire guns. Single-stage trigger. Ambidextrous safety selector. Metal receiver.

Ships with no stock and a sling mount at the rear of the receiver.
