Griffin Armament DUAL-LOK HRT-5K AM Silencer 5.56mm

The Griffin Armament HRT-5K AM 5.56mm Silencer is a compact, hard-use suppressor engineered around very low backpressure, high-temperature durability, and minimal overall size. Developed from Griffin’s HRT-556 AM program, the HRT-5K AM uses advanced DMLS additive manufacturing and Griffin’s proprietary Nickel 625X alloy in a package measuring just 5.22 inches long.

At 13.8 ounces with a 1.5-inch diameter, the HRT-5K AM keeps added length and weight to a minimum while maintaining a construction and mounting system intended for demanding rifle use. Its low-backpressure baffle stack is designed to reduce gas directed back toward the shooter, benefiting both right- and left-handed users.

DUAL-LOK Mounting System

The HRT-5K AM uses Griffin Armament’s integrated DUAL-LOK active-locking mounting system. The mount is designed to resist unintended loosening during prolonged firing while maintaining a secure, repeatable suppressor interface.

Griffin also designed the system for minimal and repeatable point-of-impact shift. A DUAL-LOK EZ-Brake 1/2x28 .22-caliber muzzle device is included with the suppressor.

Nickel 625X Construction

The suppressor incorporates Griffin Armament’s proprietary Nickel 625X powder alloy produced through DMLS additive manufacturing.

According to Griffin, Nickel 625X demonstrated approximately 68% greater yield and tensile strength than additively manufactured INCONEL 625 at 1200°F. Griffin also states that additively manufactured Nickel 625X is stronger at 1472°F than cold-formed INCONEL 625 sheet material at room temperature.

The printed core is laser-welded to a machined rear section, combining additive-manufactured internal geometry with a machined mounting interface.

Low Backpressure & Suppression Performance

The HRT-5K AM combines a dedicated low-backpressure baffle stack with a low-backpressure flash hider end cap to control gas flow and reduce visible muzzle flash while maintaining its compact form factor.

Griffin lists the suppressor at 137.3 dB on a 12.5-inch MK2, representing a 34.7 dB reduction under that test configuration.
