Description

Benelli M2-G1 Tactical Shotgun, Black with Anodized Gray Receiver, Item 11612

The Benelli 11612 is the standard-bearer of the M2-G1 line, the black model from Benelli's 2026 launch. It carries the full tactical configuration: gas-operated RPO action, 5-position telescoping stock with upgraded pistol grip, 7+1 capacity, ghost ring sights, and an M-Lok forend. The receiver is anodized gray, the barrel matte blued, the furniture black synthetic. Same mechanics as the camouflage and Cerakote models, at a $2,049 MSRP, $100 under both. If you want the M2-G1 exactly as Benelli built it for the tactical market, this is the model. Botach stocks the 11612 below MSRP.

Key Features

  • RPO gas system. Benelli's new Rear Piston Operated action, and the first gas system ever fitted to an M2. Two short-stroke pistons at the chamber, recoil assembly housed in the stock, out of the fouling path.
  • 5-position telescoping stock adjusting length of pull from 9-1/4 to 14 inches, with an upgraded pistol grip for control under recoil.
  • 7+1 capacity from the factory extended magazine tube.
  • Ghost ring sights with Picatinny rail. Receiver comes drilled and tapped, so optics mount without gunsmithing.
  • M-Lok forend ready for lights and accessories.
  • Enlarged controls sized for gloves and stress.
  • Beveled loading port and ramped trigger guard for fast reloads.
  • QD sling mounting positions built in.
  • Parkerized bolt, Modified choke installed, backed by Benelli's 10-year limited warranty.

Why Benelli Went Gas: the RPO System

For two decades the M2 meant Inertia Driven. The M2-G1 breaks that pattern on purpose. RPO collects gas right at the chamber through dual short-stroke pistons and seals the recoil assembly inside the stock, where carbon never reaches. Fewer fouled parts, longer intervals between cleanings, simpler teardown. The M4's ARGO system keeps its place as the combat benchmark. The M2-G1 sits beside it as the cleaner-running tactical line at a lower price.

Benelli 11612 vs the Other M2-G1 Models

Three models share this exact configuration and differ only in finish and price. The 11617 adds FDE Cerakote and the 11622 adds MultiCam Black, each at a $2,149 MSRP against $2,049 here. If you would rather run a fixed stock, the 11611 keeps the same 7+1 capacity in a standard configuration at $1,949 MSRP. All five models are listed on our Benelli M2-G1 category page.

Shipping, FFL Transfer, and State Law

In-stock orders ship fast from Botach's Las Vegas warehouse to your local FFL dealer for transfer. The 11612's pistol grip and telescoping stock are restricted in some states. Verify your state and local laws before ordering, or contact us and we will help you confirm. Botach has supplied law enforcement, military, and government agencies for over 35 years; departments can request unit pricing.

Is the Benelli 11612 gray or black?

Both, by design. The receiver is anodized gray and the barrel is matte blued, over black synthetic stock, grip, and forend. Benelli lists the model as Black Synthetic. Some distributor listings call it Gray after the receiver. Same shotgun.

What is the difference between the Benelli 11612 and 11611?

The stock. The 11612 runs the 5-position telescoping stock with pistol grip. The 11611 runs a fixed stock with a 13 inch length of pull and no pistol grip. Both hold 7+1. The fixed-stock 11611 carries a $1,949 MSRP, $100 less, and is the simpler configuration for states that restrict pistol grips or telescoping stocks.

Can I mount a red dot on the Benelli 11612?

Yes. The Picatinny rail on the receiver takes a red dot or optic directly, and the receiver is drilled and tapped from the factory. The ghost ring sights work standalone or co-witnessed, no gunsmithing required.
