    Nice, fit great, feels good

    Posted by Chaos2020 on 8th Apr 2021

Had an AR10 that 2 other mag catches seemed loose on...saw reviews this guy ran a tad big and decided to buy. Awesome! Fits great in my lower. Ambi action seems soft but holds mag good so far and functions as it should using the button. Overall I'd buy again, thank you

Easy to install, great for southpaw shooters. Downside is bolt catch is slightly harder to indent.

Shooting left handed, this mag release makes dumping mags so much more efficient allowing you to load another with your right hand! Makes for seamless transitions and is definitely a quality product for the price point! The design makes its effortless to press!

Good deal if you don't mind some filing

Posted by Edward Diviney on 12th Feb 2021

I got one on sale to try it out, tried in two different makes of lowers, it wouldn't work in either until I filed the bottom front radius so it would clear the slot properly, now it works like it's supposed to. Very smooth left or right side, I wish I would have bought more while they were on sale.

    Compatibility or poor tolerances?

Posted by Guy on 6th Feb 2021

Guys and Gals - I'm with Paul on this one, overall part compatibility and tolerances are poor... but, very fixable. I bought four of these on sale and had to modify each one to fit a variety of Anderson and DSA lowers. I pretty much performed the same procedure as Paul "Upon closer inspection, it seemed the rounded nose at the forward end was binding in the lower so I filed it down so the rounded corners were a little more rounded, and it no longer binds". I actually went about a 1/2" farther back, used Birchwood Casey Perma-Blue to cover the file marks and assembled, which worked. You might want to try the Gen 2 of this product, but you can get these to work. This is definitely a worthwhile tactical upgrade to your platform and would recommend its use.
