Agilite BuddyStrap Injured Personnel Carriers

The Agilite BuddyStrap is a compact injured personnel carrier designed to allow a single person to transport another person in a hands-free carry configuration. It packs down small enough for a backpack or gear loadout and can also be attached to compatible plate carriers using the included attachment hardware.

The BuddyStrap was developed around military personnel-recovery requirements but also has practical applications for hiking, search and rescue, emergency preparedness, and situations involving a person who cannot move independently. Its one-size-fits-all design allows the same carrier to be kept as a shared piece of emergency equipment rather than sized for one specific user.

When packed, the BuddyStrap measures approximately 3.9 x 10 x 3.5 inches and weighs 588 grams, making it considerably easier to carry with other equipment than a full-size litter or stretcher system.

Compact Personnel-Carry System

The BuddyStrap is designed for situations where transporting a person may need to be accomplished without carrying a full-size rescue litter. Its compact packed dimensions allow it to remain in a backpack, vehicle kit, emergency bag, or tactical loadout until needed.

The included plate carrier attachment kit and MOLLE buckles provide additional carry and storage options for compatible tactical equipment.

Applications

Agilite identifies the BuddyStrap for use by military and law-enforcement personnel, hikers, search-and-rescue volunteers, parents, and those who may need to assist a person with limited mobility. It can also be incorporated into hiking, emergency-preparedness, and vehicle equipment kits where compact casualty-transport capability is useful.
