Overview
The Home Defense™ by Alternative Ballistics is a single-use, less-lethal attachment for select 9mm pistols. It snaps over the slide and muzzle of your own handgun. When you fire, it catches the bullet inside a 3.3 cm aluminum-alloy projectile, which leaves the gun at about 219 ft/s, and the dock drops away. After that one shot your pistol works normally again: the next trigger pull fires a live bullet.
WARNING: LESS-LETHAL DOES NOT MEAN NON-LETHAL. THE HOME DEFENSE™ CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH. It is not a firearm safety device, trigger lock or substitute for secure storage, and it is not guaranteed to stop a threat.

Do not use with threaded barrels or barrel extensions. Custom sights and other modifications may affect fit. If your pistol is not listed, it is not confirmed to fit: being a 9mm is not enough.
Ammunition: 9mm 115, 124 or 147 gr, JHP or FMJ only. Do not use reloads, polymer- or elastomer-tipped, steel-core or armor-piercing rounds. Ammunition is not included.
Use: deploy only at 20 to 30 feet. Aim at the navel area above the belt line or the upper legs; never the head, face, neck, throat, spine, back, kidneys or groin. Single use: never reuse, reload or reinstall it after firing. Read the manufacturer's instructions first and fit-check it on an unloaded firearm.
