Overview
The SKYNET Drone Defense Round is a specialized 2¾-inch 12 gauge round designed for counter-drone applications. Rather than relying on a conventional shot pattern, SKYNET uses tethered projectiles that separate after firing and are designed to entangle or interfere with a drone's propellers.
The tethered design also incorporates a parachute-style recovery feature intended to slow the round's descent when it does not make contact with the target. This provides an additional measure of control compared with a conventional free-flying projectile.
