Overview
The Space Brand Emergency Blanket is engineered to provide personal protection from the potentially harmful elements of nature. The unique combination of vacuum deposited metal and the surface characteristics of the polyester film forms a "perfect barrier" to help reflect and retain over 80% of your radiated body heat, keeping you warm and comfortable in inhospitable conditions. With no wind or moisture penetration, you're not only warm but also dry. Utilized by millions to help make outdoor adventures safer, the Space Brand Emergency Blanket provides additional medical benefits to help allay the onset of post-trauma shock and offers a positive psychological advantage of personal protection in the aftermath of major disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes or tornados. This "two ounces of protection that fits in the palm of your hand" is about the size of a deck of cards when folded, but opens into a 56" (142cm) by 84" (214cm) tough and durable thermal reflective blanket. The Space Brand Emergency Blanket has helped save countless lives, by providing needed personal protection from the harsh elements of Mother Nature. Available in silver on both sides for most outdoor protection needs, it's also available in orange on one side and silver on the other, a combination providing greater air-to-ground visibility, particularly against a snow or water background. "I was recently on a 21 hour rescue in a very remote and rugged area. The victim had fallen and was badly injured, in shock and hypothermic. We built a fire, cut his wet clothes off and the very next item I used was the good old Space Blanket. If he had not been found when he was, he surely would have died soon. I just wanted you to know that your products are being used to literally save lives!"
