CAS expands the selection for APOC with our new Fallout Series of knives and survival tools designed by Jason Breeden. Featuring blades in D2 and 1075 steel in a two-tone finish with a unique mix of pierced black canvas micarta and APOC Red G10 liners that allows for a superior grip with the full tang construction. APOC Survival Tools increases the selection of utilitarian implements from large to small that will check all the boxes. The APOC Fallout Series blasts the survival landscape with these exciting new tools.

APOC Survival Tools brings another unique design that offers versatility of function to the line with the Breeden Derecho. Blurring the lines between sword and machete, the 18 ¼” blade gives as good as it can take with cutting, slicing, hacking and chopping duties. The 5.5mm thick full tang construction allows single hand or two-handed use at just around 2 lbs in weight. The Derecho possesses enough weight to get the job done but its light enough that it doesn’t tire the user. The atypical tip construction offers the wielder a reinforced thrust into a thick target.

We can’t stress enough the comfort of use with the pierced black canvas micarta handle and the secure grip that it provides. The spine of the blade and the liners are seamlessly smooth. A lanyard hole is available for those who wish to add this safety feature to the Derecho. The scabbard features a Molle compatible Kydex locket (throat) platform for secure carry with a fiberglass shaft.

The APOC Breeden Fallout Series merges the design elements of Japanese bravura and the apocalyptic functionality of APOC for a unique edged experience. The geometry of the handles, the blade design, and the embellishments echo the influence of the katana. The cutouts in the black canvas Micarta handle scales mimic the grip tsuka-ito, while the textured red G10 liners reflect dyed same (rayskin). Deviating from our normal black on black no-frills style, APOC steps out with a two-tone color blade finish, making them stand out in the crowd. Like a daisho, our Breeden Fallout Series was engineered to be paired with each other in any combination with their sheaths with their overlapping sheath designs.
