The waist fits well but they were not lying when it says SLIM FIT, not for people with large calfs

Slim fit is an understatemet
I own several pairs of Vertx pants. I also own some other brands like 511, with a slimmer cut. These, by far and not even close to comparison, are the tightest, slimmest I have tried on. So much so that I can't wear them. This is the first pair I have had to return. Sadly, I checked with Vertx before purchasing them, about length and fit, and no one mentioned just how tight these fit compared to the regular Cutback, or their Jeans, or any other similar pants. The material feels nice, and they look to have good build quality similar to other Vertx pants. When trying to put these on you can feel they are slimmer as you get your foot in through the thigh section. After getting both legs started, though, they start to feel like a pair of leggings in the thigh and hips area. Thank GOD they are gusseted because these would push you a couple octaves higher if you manage to get them on and zipped. To really understand how tight these are, I am 6'7", typically wear a 37" inseam, have a 36" waist, slender build at 220lbs, with tone, but not body-builder legs, from thigh to calf. This is not a case of my thighs and calves being too big because of working out. These things are just THAT SLIM. Length wise they are actually good. I own more Vertx than others because they run long enough to fit my inseam, even though they are listed as 36". Most other brands fall a tad short. If you're into the really slim fit, they will probably be great. However, if you have any form or muscle to your body, and you plan to use these for EDC activities, good luck. You might need to size up once or twice. You're probably better off with the regular Cutback Technical or their jeans, though.
