Boots are reasonably comfortable but
Boots are reasonably comfortable but run slightly larger than my Redwings. They make you feel a bit unstable as a result. I had to purchase over the calf socks to keep them from being drawn down into the boot. The front white band across the toe on the right boot has come loose. Haven't had them long enough to confirm longevity but I'm hopeful they will last at least a year. I purchased these as a replacement for the overpriced China imported Redwings. I had assumed that Matterhorn boots were made in the USA. Please note these are not!! I'm a bit skeptical as to the quality but time will tell. Hopefully i'll be pleasantly surprised. I know one thing they are more resonably priced than Redwings. I had to climb onto a fairly steep barrel tile roof and the grip was average. My main concern and reason for purchasing these boots in particular was the safety rating and the beefed up toe. I was constantly wearing out my Redwing waterproof boots to which of course exposed the steel making them no longer water proof. These boots are absolutely water proof at least so far so good.
