This KZ endplate is every bit as well made as anything from GGG,YHM,Troy, or whatever other overpriced house you want to name. Fit,finish, overall quality is fine. Price is right, shipping is free and fast! However...... A couple things to consider -I used this for a pistol build with SigBrace. Otherwise, I prefer my QD point for the sling to be in the buttstock. This 3- way looked to be a good solution for my build. Unfortunately, the center position still interferes with the arm brace, so don't count on using that point unless you use the LAK spacer kit from KAK. IF you have a tele-stock, you will likely not be able to fully retract the stock with a sling attached in the center hole. The left and right side qd sockets are set up for limited rotation. I've found that this is not compatible with the majority of qd swivels I've tried. With most, if you apply any pressure against the limited rotation, the balls just push back into the body of the swivel as if you had pressed the release button. This makes the swivel pop out and can drop the weapon. This is nothing unique to the KZ plate - I've found that this happens with Seekins, BCM, Noveske, and other top notch gear that have rotation limited qd sockets. I have a dozen or so qd swivels around and 1 or 2 of them will resist this unintended release, but the majority will not. Because of this, plus another problem I will detail, I wish this had free-rotation in all 3 qd sockets. With the swivels locked in the position where the gun hangs properly from the sling, the sling then ends up interfering with cheekweld when you shoulder the weapon. Basically you will have the sling trapped between your face and the stock. If the sockets were free to rotate, the sling could drop away clear. Overall I like this piece of kit, but it could be greatly improved with a very small detail change. Maybe Botach will hook me up with a replacement when they use my ideas to make it better!
