BattleSteel Flexible Backpack Armor Ballistic & Strike & Slash Protection

This armor is 2nd to NONE in the soft body armor market! I selected a variety of ammo options to test the medal of this product all, of which were chosen specific to defeat it, and much like a list of Punisher villains every one of them failed! They took their shot, hit like little freight trains, and ultimately fell by the wayside! I fired two Fort Scott Munitions solid copper spun TUI projectiles into it. One - an 80 grain 9mm and the other a 95 grain .357 Sig. Both had their sharp noses smashed FLAT! I fired three different Lehigh Xtreme bullets, loaded by Underwood at it as well. .357 Mag - 120 grain Xtreme Hunter from a 6" GP100 (1,700 fps) .357 Sig - 65 grain Xtreme Defender from a 5.3" Glock 35 (2,100 fps) 9x25mm Dillon - 90 grain Xtreme Defender (2,000 fps) All three had there flutes crushed and only penetrated to a maximum of 16 layers deep of the 40 layers the panel is made of! The deepest penetration achieved was by the Doubletap loaded 9x25mm Dillon 80 grain SCHP, and that round actually fragmented on its way to the 17th layer of the polyethylene ballistic material! The Coup de Gras however, came when my friend volunteered to let me hit it with his new Marlin SBL in .45-70 loaded with Underwood's standard pressure, 300 grain JHP loaded to 2,100 fps - that's over 2,900 ft/lbs of energy! The panel was backed by two thick textbooks with a layer of ceramic tile between them. That round hit so hard it drove a 2" wide portion of the panelthrough the first textbook, and crushing the ceramic behind it. The bullet itself completely shattered, but even though it landed only 1" from the top of the panel, it DID NOT penetrate it!!! It was in fact, stopped by the 21st layer of material! After peeling away the compromised portions of material, I still basically have half a panel that is still useable! OH! I also stabbed the panel three times, full force with a Cold Steel Leatherneck with a Tanto point, 6.75" blade. It DID penetrate two, of the three times, but only the very TIP pierced the panel by about a eighth of an inch! So if you were wearing this armor or carrying it in a backpack, it would hurt. You may get bruised and scratched, but you would 100% survive with minimal injury! This is the ONLY soft armor I will ever buy for my safety! I've tried others, some at double the cost that don't offer half the protection! Battle Steel is LEGIT!

I purchased the 3A+ 11x14 flexible plate to augment our security bags. It is well finished and extremely light. Thin enough I could stack 3 in a standard laptop sleeve. I will definitely be buying more as the need arrives. Thank you for the excellent product.
