What size hex screw do you use? My package didn't come witha hex screw.

    BATTLE STEEL EXTENSIONS

NOT QUITE AS PICTURED , THEY HAVE LINES CUT IN THE SIDES BUT OTHER THAN THE LOOKS BEING DIFFERENT THEY FIT AND FUNCTION AS THE LANCERS DO .

    Good with a modification

These are well made and fit properly. Cheaper than the Lancer version. Only issue I had was how to remove it once you have it installed. The spring goes into the extension past the bottom of the magazine. Well this basically locks the extension on to the magazine. I found no real way to slide the extension off of the magazine once it is installed according to the instructions. The spring does not allow that. Solution I came up with is to drill a 1/8th hole through the bottom of the extension 1.5 inches from the open side of the base, centered. Leave the floor plate retainer on the spring and put it in the extension. With the floor plate retainer in you can use a small hex key or similar item to push in to the hole and move the floor plate retainer and spring back up past the bottom of the magazine allowing you to slide off the extension. Hole also acts as a drain hole. Side note this adds two more rounds of .458 SOCOM to the 10 rounds a Lancer 30rd mag would normally hold.

    Better than lancers

These are awesome and just as good as the Lancer brand but at 1/3 the cost.

    Almost Perfect

Bought 3 and was impressed overall. Light, clean and a good value. Only complaint is removing them for cleaning the mag is very difficult, I found it easier leaving the spring plate in for easier removal.

    Lancer mag extention

Bought 4. Adds 6 rounds to mags no problem, doesn’t come with special sized small tool to manipulate the nipple/retention type pin that keeps it in place once installed, and also is abrasive to springs when removing/installing. BUT it is functional, MUCH MUCH cheaper than Lancer’s version (for the price of 4 Botach’s I can purchase 1 Lancer). Won’t need to continue taking it off or putting it on typically. Also, gives your mag a clean, sleek, black look to them without a logo plastered obnoxiously across it
