Description
The UMC is a device that more securely attaches the first-responder's speaker-microphone to the uniform epaulet button or shirt-front button.
The UMC retains the speaker-microphone during a critical incident while allowing ease of intentional removal when required. The unique buttonhole design of the UMC makes attaching it to a uniform button quick and easy, while at the same time making unintentional removal difficult. The UMC is designed for heavy uniform buttons as well as the removable metal buttons commonly found on state police/highway patrol uniforms. The UMC is also unique in that it is designed with integrated flex points that allow it to lie flat on a shirt-front button or be bent to curve from the epaulet button on the shoulder. The UMC is Patent Pending.
The UMC has been thoroughly tested both in the field as well as in our in-house durability testing procedures. The UMC will not break or otherwise fail under normal use. The button will rip off the shirt long before the UMC will fail. We have received an overwhelmingly positive response to the UMC and believe it will sell itself as it comes into widespread distribution. The police officers, sheriffs' deputies, federal officers, firefighters, EMS technicians and corrections deputies who tested the UMC are excited about this product and believe it fills a void in the equipment needs of thousands of first responders across the country.
