    A excellent work/carry knife, the serrations are large and cut thru rope/plastic straps like butter. Very fast opening, highly recommend!

    My 15 year old son has carried a Kershaw Blur for over 2 years now. Recently he lost his first Blur (a plain edge in a traditional blade shape - Ken's lines don't always fit the textbook definitions for shape so I won't try to assign it one) and despite offers of Spyderco's, (my personal second favorite after nearly any Emerson design) he insisted on another Blur. The tacti-cool aesthetic of the tanto proved an irresistible gravity and Botach delivered the goods with their usual lowest price I could find (at least with anyone I'd trust my credit card with) and that winning combo of no tax and free shipping (love it!). I'm not a fan of spring assist designs in general - especially not in a knife I could be forced to fight with. Pocket lint and any other odd assortment of debris can work it way into the assist mechanism and cause it to fail at a crucial moment. But that first Blur took a beating over the past two years and was still going strong. This new one looks like it will go the distance and then some.

    The Sandvik 14C28N steel has

    The Sandvik 14C28N steel has been highly rated is some reviews.. Not the tops but good for the price. These do come razor sharp. The assist feature works well. The coating on the blade feels like what is on Glock slides so I hope it is as durable. It is definitely non reflective. Build is good. I'm not a fan of this type lock but it works OK. You just have to be careful not to close the blade on your thumb. The anti-slip on the handle is rubbery and adds resistance, not like sand paper but is better than no texture at all.. Overall I'm very pleased..
