Wish I knew about this sooner

Posted by Great plate for the money on 24th Apr 2020

High quality plate. Super light weight. Wish I knew about these sooner. I will definitely be buying the level 3 and 4 plates along with the soft panels.

Unbelievably light. I bought them for my childrens book bag and we can't even feel the difference.

Lightweight as heck. Obviously I haven't shot them but if they perform like advertised they will be perfect.

    Great armor fantastic value

The panels & carrier weigh less than 4 pounds, and provide the same protection as my 27 pound plates & carrier and costs hundreds less.

    Battle Steel Level IIIA Panels

Posted by Tim Basden on 24th Jul 2019

I purchased these to replace a much heavier ceramic plate in my carrier. So far, so good. Not really anxious to go out and test it, but I feel confident should the occasion arise.

Can this REALLY stop a bullet?

Posted by Kyle Roberts on 8th Jul 2019

Got this and a 11x14 for the rear. They are THIN and LIGHT, Let me put this in prospective, an iPad?.... yeah as light if not lighter... I give 5/5 stars because they are as advertised, and they fulfilled same day. If you are expecting this within a week... PAY FOR SHIPPING. Took 10days to arrive three states east, with Free Ground shipping. I am a bit skeptical about these... so if I get shot, and it doesn't stop the bullet(within rating), I'll come back and leave a bad review. These are so THIN, if it does indeed stop the bullet... it will hurt, please be smart and wear something protective behind it to catch the hurt.

    Best IIIA panel I've bought

Thin, light, inexpensive. Better than a soft panel for backpacks and bags.

    Not Rifle Ballistic Rated!

    Posted by C.L. on 26th Jun 2017

Very Light and great value. This is my second set that I have purchased from Botach. If you use an outer vest and want a hard plate to absorb more of the shock trauma from pistol rounds, this is the plate for you. Keep in mind this plate is not rated for high velocity rifle rounds (i.e. .223, 7.62 or .308). So maybe look for another option for running an active shooter vest insert.
